What is a Branch Partnership?
A branch partnership is a long term partnership with a charity or NGO. These relationships are two-way. Students get the chance to work on a real life international development project and make a difference in a developing country, and the charities get to use student’s enthusiasm, energy and spare time to support their work. In the future we hope to be able to put some of these projects into the curriculum but for the time being they are on a purely voluntary basis. These projects may lead to students going out to developing countries to implement them in the future.
Our Branch Partnerships
The first of our two current partnership projects is with The Converging World organisation, researching rural energy solutions in the developing world. The second is with Frank Water, looking at alternative methods of water filtration.
